The Plan: Departing Hartford area Sunday the 24th late afternoon and transit down to Allentown PA for overnight stop. Monday, transit to Pigeon Forge, TN on I-81. Stop in Christianburg VA to pick up “babyboomerinswva”, then meet Mark (LIL Z3) Bigelow’s group at the Dollywood Comfort Inn. Tuesday the combined group will head down to Deal’s Gap, hopefully via the Cherohala Skyway. We’ll spend the afternoon doing some dragon taming until check-in time at the Tapoco Lodge. Tuesday morning is likely to see at least one more Dragon run, then partake the local roads en-route to the Embassy Suites, Greenville SC.

IL: Chicago Area

As in years past let's plan to depart from the Fairfield Inn parking lot in Merrillville, IN at Weds. 8/27 at 8 am.
Next stop will be just south of Indianapolis. Lunch stop in Middletown, KY just south of Louisville.
I have made a reservation at the Hilton Hotel in Alcoa TN - same place as most stayed last year. Estimated arrival time approximately 5 pm.

From Alcoa to Spartanburg I have several routes laid out, including the Dragon, the Skyway and along with a few others. Departure from Alcoa at 8 am Eastern Time. Estimated arrival time in Spartanburg 4/5 pm - depending on route and weather. I am staying at the Wingate off the Pelham Road exit.

Charlotte Area Roadster Zs - CARZ will be convoying on Thursday leaving at 10:00 am and traveling the scenic back roads to the Embassy Suites. We will be taking a curvy fun road up the mountain to Pretty Place Chapel and then stopping for lunch at Aunt Sue’s Country Corner on the Cherokee Highway. We will arrive at the Embassy Suites before 5:00.

The plan is to drive on the interstates all the way with arrival mid to late afternoon in Spartanburg. It's roughly 420 miles from Firstwatch to the Embassy Suites in Spartanburg.

The Plan: We will be leaving Huntingdon, PA Sunday morning at 5am following a direct route to Pigeon Forge. Breakfast stop will be at the Cracker Barrel in Winchester, VA about 8:30. Then we'll be on 81 thru Virginia and then RT 66 to Pigeon Forge. Monday we do Dollywood. Tuesday we take the scenic route to the Tapoco Lodge.
We'll be going up in the the Smokey Mountains to visit the Sugarland Visitors Center, then off to run the 120 mile Cherahola/Dragon loop. Wednesday we'll slay the Dragon once more and saying hi to Killboy, then it's off the Greenville and our Homecoming home at the Embassy. Thursday is open to do what ever, local site seeing or just chillin and watching old friends arrive.

Of course Friday and Saturday are Homecoming events. Sunday, sadly is the long drive home. We hope you can join us at any part of our journeys.
